Almost made it

Whilst the following people made staggering contributions to society and expressed belief in Christ, we cannot be 100% sure if they were Christian.

The Red Cross - One of the most well-known aid agencies in the world. Winners of multiple Nobel Peace prizes.
Founder: Henry Dunant.

(Henry Dunant was brought up in a very devout Christian home. His parents strongly stressed the value of social work, and his father was active helping orphans and parolees, while his mother worked with the sick and poor.
Dunant continued to profess Christian beliefs but attacked organised religion in the last few years before his death.  Whether he died a Christian we do not know.)

Dorothea Lynde Dix (April 4, 1802 – July 17, 1887) was an American activist on behalf of the indigent insane who, through a vigorous program of lobbying state legislatures and the United States Congress, created the first generation of American mental asylums.
Dix was influenced by the Quakers and Biblical principals.  However, she was a Unitarian.   Unitarians do not believe in the doctrine of the Trinity so do not hold to orthodox Christian theology.
